Can you walk and chew gum at the same time?  Then you probably have some athletic skill.  There will be a leadership organization meeting for FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Club, on Thursday, at Lunch. - Buck

 

Athletes of all Fall Sports – Come to the front office before school, at lunch, or after school, with your student ID card, to get your Athlete Sticker.  This sticker gets you free admission to all, non-play-off, home games and matches for the Fall Sports Season. -Thomas

  • Student is in the wrong level course or does not have the necessary prerequisite
  • Student needing to drop a yearlong academic class (parent permission required)  
  • Counselors do not make teacher changes. A parent-teacher conference is necessary before a teacher change can be requested.

Appointments to see your counselor will start next week.  Appointments are to be made before school, at lunch or after school. No appointments will be made during passing periods the first week of the semester.

Both the address, written by Moses Seixas, and Washington’s response appeared together in several newspapers. They encapsulate Washington’s clearest articulation of his belief in religious freedom and the first presidential affirmation of the free and equal status of Jewish-American citizens.

August 21 Eclipse Resources!

On August 21 all of America will experience a solar eclipse. Some areas will witness a total eclipse (when the moon entirely covers the sun); other regions will witness a partial eclipse.

The Bay Area will experience a 76% eclipse, with the moon beginning to cover the sun at 9:01 am, reaching maximum coverage at 10:15 am, and then moving away from the sun at 11:37 am.  

Some schools have made plans for students to go outside and watch the eclipse using special solar eclipse glasses and/or cards for pinhole viewing. Please check your school's website to see what kinds of activities are planned.  

If you want to send your child to school with glasses for viewing the eclipse, please be sure to provide designated solar eclipse glasses. Staring at even a sliver of the sun without adequate protection can cause permanent eye damage. (You can find more information about choosing safe glasses on the American Astronomical Society's website.)
